Hello, has anyone else found that their tolerance of MTX has reduced over time ? I was fine for months but Mondays now are horrendous.

You might get more replies in the PMRGCAuk forum, lots of discussions on MTX there…You may need to join to get all the answers you want ..but that’s easy enough, and you can always “unjoin”.

Have a look at the FAQs - there’s one on there on MTX and then related posts.

Yes, I did. However, in my case it was because I started a new drug, Sulfasalazine, that was reacting with the MTX and making me feel terrible. I didn’t realise this until I stopped the Sulfasalazine and now the MTX is absolutely fine.

Thank you for your reply. Going to talk to my rheumatologist about other options . Mind you, I haven’t seen them in well over a year, due to Covid .

My Husband has exactly the same problem, he feels awful on mtx day and tries to remember not to do anything strenuous or he feels even worse. I have suggested going to the doctor but he's a man, lol.

Thanks for your replyI am self employed and have to go work . A couple of Mondays have meant coming home .

I was fine for a good few months but the last year it has gotten progressively worse . Taken myself off MTX .

Ive been on Cosentyx for 3 years and it’s finally winding down on its effectiveness.
