Af and heart failure

In February I was diagnosed with af and told there was some impairment of the systolic function

I am on 2.5bisoprolol 1.25 ramipril and apaxiban I take it this means heart failure though I have not been feffered to a heart specialist

I am happy from the information on here that the af is manageable indeed I already feel a little better now I am becoming used to the medication

But I am concerned about the systolic function I’m 68 and wonder if it will worsen as I get older

Does anyone else have both conditions

On medication my resting heart rate is about 70 and walking 110

I was diagnosed last June. I have impaired left systolic function as well as left atrium markedly dilated but right mildly affected. I'm on 10 Apixaban 140 furusemide 7.5 Bisoprolol and 25 spirolatone plus losartan, Amitriptyline and a statin. I had tachycardia but after 3 months heart has settled but still in permanent fibrillation. I'm pleased I gave time for the meds to do their job as I'm a lot better able to lie down and sleep, don't get breathless doing normal everyday stuff. Your question about getting worse is the million dollar one. I haven't had an answer yet. It's tough as my husband post heart attack had a clear pathway ahead. I've got my rehab assessment next Friday so I'm hoping I get a bit more information. I'll let you know.
