I don't have access to a professional so I was hoping someone could help me.

So I've noticed that for a while I've barely eaten and have a lack of appetite. I also have began to get very cold/can't heat up at times. I'm constantly checking on foods nutritional facts and am very self conscious. I constantly check my weight on a scale and am physically showing signs under eating (weight loss, pale skin, more hair growing on arms). I also have almost like a voice in my head that wont stop telling me not to eat/I shouldn't eat something. If anyone has information they could provide that would be great. I know how dangerous eating disorders can be and would like to stop it if I do have one.

I'm not a professional but i would say you are certainly showing worrying signs that you have an eating disorder. Eating disorders do no fit into a neat little box so not everyone will have same behaviours as an another but what they do have in common is that they are a mental illness. The fact that you mention hearing the voice telling you not to eat and obsessively checking weight and food packaging is evidence that your mind is affected and you should seek help.

Its good you are recognising you have a problem - and I would suggest you need to see your GP asap - the signs you mention do all sound like an ED - and this needs rapid treatment before it becomes a serious health issue. Both mental and physical health are seriously affected by EDs and the longer it goes on the harder it is to recover - so please do seek professional help. ABC also have a good website and helpline so do look at this too. EDs take over your thinking very quickly - and it is extremely hard, if not impossible, to just switch it off - so don't think you can do it all by yourself - put a label on it and then say you'll change - from years of experience without help and support breaking free and recovering is extremely difficult - so do go to your GP - get yourself checked out physically to make sure that your bloods etc are OK - as well as ask for a referral to a specialist.
