Yes, worse in some cases as you have no idea what you are vaping.

I agree with Bob , it was good for you to stop smoking cigarettes and you probably used the Vape to manage that, but it is better to reduce that and stop it now too because the nicotine can cause greater risk of triggering AFib and other heart Arrhythmias, and the added ingredients in a vape aren't great to inhale either.

yes the chemicals are harmful. Vapes have been banned now in some countries

The NHS has a page on its website - ‘Vaping Myths & the Facts’.

Not as bad as smoking!! sometimes this page can be very judgemental. Ask your GP and maybe change to some gum or spray?? either way well done on quitting the fags.

I quit cigarettes when I was diagnosed with AF about 8 years ago. I slowly but steadily reduced the nicotine levels and, over about 6 months, got it down to zero. Soon after that, I just couldn't be bothered any more.

Nicotine is a poison and is seriously addictive. Try to get off it in whatever way suits you. Just substituting one form for another is not your objective. Try to eliminate it entirely by whatever method you can.

Good Luck.

Did the AF episodes reduce when you went zero nicotine?

No - I wasn't diagnosed until it was persistent - so I've got no info on that - sorry!

All I can say is that, with hindsight, AF seemed to be related mostly to stress and not to my smoking behaviour (except I might have smoked more when stressed, I suppose)

Vaping is often worse as it’s taken some time for governments around the world to regulate it. I’ll be happy when they ban it completely. We finally get cigarette smoking down in our youth population and now they’re addicted ti vapes instead.

I’m an ex smoker - I get the pull of the addiction but that doesn’t make it any healthier for anyone. You’re inhaling nicotine and chemicals. Why do that to yourself.

Yes, the glycols that you are vaping with the nicotine can stay in your lungs and damage them.
