Short spikes of raised HR?

Hello again, My ablation was mid March and I've been in NSR since bar 2 short episodes of AF that self converted when I was under extreme stress.

Every now and then (once every 3 weeks or so) I guess I get a short spike of raised heart rate shown on my fitbit, if I'm sitting quietly I'm aware of it but not if I'm busy. It lasts for a minute or two, HR goes up to 100ish, then slowly comes back down.

Last night I was watching TV, felt a strange whoosh inside and my heart started to bang rapidly. I hit my ecg on my fitbit and captured it 3 times, first was 94, NSR, the next two it started to drop, both NSR. I took an extra 1.25 bisoprolol as I wanted to know that I could go to bed and sleep. Average resting rate overnight was 49 (normal for me) but some of my other readings were off, I did have a restless/anxious night though.

I'm guessing a short run of tachycardia maybe, I get ectopic PVC's and had quite a few last night, they don't really bother me.

I'm pleased that my heart is refusing to join the party and dance around with AF and will ask the EP when I see him again in August, or sooner I I get any problems.

I walk the dogs daily, 30 mins brisk walking, scoring between 10-16 zone mins on fitbit, getting my HR up to 110+ (EP said to go to 120) and generally walk 10-12000 steps a day, 5 miles plus.

Any ideas please?

I think if you're worried I would go back to the cardiologist or talk to your cardio nurse. Best wishes.

I would feel pretty sure this is further healing as the scars from your ablation “mature”, as they say. I am sure your EP or GP would likely say similar but it would be worth mentioning.

Yes, thank both, I'll definitely mention it in August, or before if they become worrying.
