Me too. It is difficult to detect apparently, and lots of people don’t know they have it and could possibly die of a stroke. I hadn’t even heard of AF., but l knew something was fluttering in my chest. I assumed it was a build up of gas, as l have stomach issues and get full of burps and wind. A paramedic diagnosed me. I am eternally grateful that it was caught and treated.

It is known ( but not necessarily understood by healthcare professionals ) that the Vagal Nerve can impact on both heart and the digestive ( the gut ) system. It is like an information superhighway running communication networks between the brain, the heart and the gut ..... it is also known to impact/cause/influence AF. Generally, GP's just roll their eyes at this, gasteroenterologists accept and understand it and Cardiac Consultants may just shrug their shoulders. I have had quite sound results by consulting a Nutritionist and following prescribed diets over many years. Calm the vagal nerve, calm the heart !
