Next up in the drug-resistant SVT lineup is Sotolol. EP wants me to try a super low dose- 40mg in the evening. I'm skeptical but willing to give it a try...... What have your experiences been?

Sotolol Experiences?

Above link is previous threads on Sotalol. Most here take Sotalol for afib, not sure of the difference/relation with SVTs.
Has the doctor discussed having a cardioversion ? Sotalol is sometime prescribed to maintain proper rhythm after the cardioversion converts to normal sinus rhythm.
My experience with sotalol was poor. It didn't do much for the AF and really put a limit on the amount of exercise I could do. When I finally came off it after 2 years, I felt reborn. I then went onto diltiazem which I got on with much better. It didn't stop the AF, but controlled HR. If you feel bad on the sotalol and it doesn't do much, I suggest you try something else, or even nothing as long as your HR is low in AF (i.e. less than 80bpm).
