I have Trigeminy which causes a PAC to occur every third beat. I feel EVERY single irregular beat and I also have pulsating tinnitus so I can hear exactly how my heart is beating. Does anyone have Trigeminy and if so, do you know if it can be damaging to your heart if it goes on and on almost day in and day out for weeks or months? I’m to the point where I seriously think something is wrong with my heart but my EP keeps brushing off my irregular heart rhythms, saying they are normal and not to worry about it. Really? I’ve made an appointment for a second opinion, with a female EP. I’m getting to the point where I don’t know what to do or where to turn for help anymore. No one seems to understand what living with this is like except for so many of you good people on here. You are all so willing to offer help or suggestions and I appreciate that more than you know. Thank you in advance.

Ectopics beats are common, in fact normal people have them and though Trigemini is a bit of a faff and can be irritating, it is benign . Have you tried slow deep diaphragmic beathing? Use stomach not shoulders and slow your breathing down to less than six per minute for at least five minutes. Worked for me when I had a much more complex ectopic rhythm ( every second. third, fourth etc up toeeleven and back to second ad nauseum.) I have also had pulsatile tinitis since my AF was terminated by ablation in 2008 and not found a cure yet bar just learning to tune it out. Keeping busy , relaxed and well hydrated are all important.
I too had ecg which showed bigeminy and trigeminy 2 years ago and have had pulsatile tinnitus for many years. Yes its so annoying ! I use an under pillow speaker which helps a little. My cardiologist intimated that they were not an issue to worry about so i try not to.
This led to further investigations and was diagnosed with PAF so i suppose i should be glad they were found. Good to read the answer from Bob, very reassuring. I do the deep breathing to help me drop off as thats when i notice the tinnitus most.
