I wanted to try hawthorn and have a big unopened bottle of hawthorn pills. Unfortunately amongst other properties they act as some kind of blood thinner and I was advised by a pharmacist not to mix with Apixaban.

The problem with Hawthorne & other supplements is to know what dose to take to be effective but not to affect any medication or other supplements to make your AF worse. I would do more research as if memory serves I think I have read Hawthorne is quite powerful.

My experienced London Naturopath has recently created a 'Bitters' supplement which I would like to take to improve digestion; problem is inter alia the ingredients contain Hawthorne 🤔.

Hi i have taken hawthorn berry supplement about 1 and a half year ago , i have af episodes about once per week, when i took hawthorn it was a whole new lease of life for me i couldnt believe how well i felt it was like a miracle,,,,,, unfortunately that feeling only lasted 1 month then i returned to normal weekly bouts, but it was the best 4 weeks free of af, that ive had, i cant remember the dosage i took , but there is potential there if maybe the dosage was appropriate.

Why do you believe it was the Hawthorne that was helping you? Thanks.

Pommerania78 I have been using Hawthorne capsules since Spring of 2015. I take 1 500-640mg capsule AM and PM. Really works for me. Yes, there is some small thinning affect, but I believe that it is negligible as I have to still take Nattokinase (2000fu capsule 1 / day my blood thinner) or my blood is too thick, It helps the heart beat stronger and more regularly.

Hawthorne has been used for centuries to help heart ailment sufferers.

So that it is clear, the ONLY prescription I take is Diltiezem 240mg AM and PM.

Someday I hope to get off of it too. I've been prescription thinners and others like Digoxin, Linisipril, Valsarton for over 7 years now. I don't miss them.

Excerpt from a Dr. website I follow:

Hawthorn is often called “the heart herb” for its various cardio-protective abilities. Prized for its ability to uplift and strengthen the heart both emotionally and physically, the hawthorn berry has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for all kinds of serious heart concerns. These include angina, high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries, irregular heart beat and even congestive heart failure.

I would consider trying it. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

The bottle I bought is made from the Hawthorne berry. One serving (two pills) is: 1,080 mg. It is from the manufacturer NOW. I also take for Afib: 100 mg. of Fleciniaide twice a day and 50 mg of Toprol once a day. I have lost 28 pounds in the last nine weeks, since being diagnosed with Afib. Has the Afib for you gone into remission? Thanks.

No. I have afib often but it's mild. Before I started on Hawrhorne and such I felt chest constricted (Digoxin causes) and had little energy. Now I have energy and my ;ast visit with my cariologist he said "John you look good!" He explained that my skin tone told him a lot on how I was doing. He had wanted in July to have me do an angioplasty as previous nuclear/ctscan showed that I may have arterial heart blockage. I told him I would take my "Drano" (MRM Cardio Chelate) 3 capsules early AM 2 hours b4 any food.

Clears up the capillaries, etc of deposits. Nattokinase and Vitamin "E" also tend to help clear up the arteries.

I would start by taking 1 capsule AM and PM. I sometimes take 2 x once a day to add some extra umph if I feel my heart rate is not string enough as measured by an APP on my iPhone. I also believe I can sense how my hearts doing by how at ease I feel or not when walking / bike riding.

What do you consider "mild"? What is MRM Cardio Chelate?
