Yes, my EP mentioned this amongst other new research last February at a public talk he gave.

I have a friend who sells "health" products through a multi-level-marketing franchise and who has strained our relationship by almost insisting that I buy an expensive brand of Omega-3 capsules. She even sent off a blood sample to Sweden that showed that various of my blood levels weren't bad but could be improved. I already include a significant amount of fish in my diet. After my TAVI, she became even more insistent to the point that I "shut off" from her for ten minutes. Just as well that I still declined, as more than just a little Omega-3 supplementation can lessen the effects of my prescribed blood-thinners.

Yikes! Points to the fact we need to check and double check when we have a health condition. It’s really hard when it’s a friend pushing stuff. Our daughter with MS has had more than her fair share of people wanting to press “cures” on her. A previous owner of our local health food shop was like that - a peddler of guilt.

Thinking used to be that Omega-3 would balance the 6 and 9s. Recent understanding is that is not true. It messes with our liver, which from what I understand controls everything else. It is included in the family of PUFAs. (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids) which turn rancid in us creating a fatty liver. I have long suspected we all have liver issues not just AF. Our body system work as a symphony and if one system is out they affect all others including our nervous system.
