Sutherlandia mentioned by a medical herbalist

We all like to hear good news stories to brighten our day and we all know that here we are not medically trained and don't make any claims to have found heart or other cures. Also don't take anything without running it past your trusted medic.

That said here are some recent newsletter extracts that may be of interest from my medical herbalist with 20+ years experience:

Many of my South African patients tell me that they or a close friend has used a herb called Sutherlandia to cure their cancer. Now, this is not making any claims, of course, but I’d like to tell you about my parent’s dog Biddy. She is a little black Scotty with the sweetest nature. She was about 10 years old, when last year the vet diagnosed her with bladder cancer and gave her 2-3 months to live. We thought it would be a good idea to give her Sutherlandia, which they add to her food every day. Now she runs around like a puppy, full of joy with a mischievous gleam in her eye. When Dad took her to the vet last week, the vet was baffled and said that she no longer has cancer. Weirdly, he wasn’t interested in why.

When I met my partner eight years ago, I really thought that he had about 2 weeks to live. He was diagnosed with severe cardiac failure, following a second severe heart attack. When we started seeing each other, he struggled to breathe, and his cardiac function was 38%. Of course, he takes lots of medications which are necessary to keep him alive, but he also takes lots of herbs, and his party trick is to show off his handful of herbal capsules and then swallow the lot in one mouthful. When he last saw his cardiologist a few weeks ago, his cardiac function has improved to 52% – a miracle! And he is now diagnosed as having moderate cardiac failure. This is not all down to the herbs. Without his mainstream meds, we know that he would be dead, but we believe that it is the herbs which are restoring the cardiac tissue, and strengthening his general well-being so that he is a much healthier, and very much stronger and more alive person than he might have been.

Stay positive 😁 #hybridsolutions

That's really interesting to hear from along term poster on this forum secondtry. Did your partner take the Sutherlandia herb?

Apologies, I did not make it clear it was the herbalist's partner. I have not tried it and need to do more research on it.
