Diltazem-low blood pressure

Looking for stories on Diltazem and low blood pressure. I have only been on it for a week and a half. My blood pressure has always been good. On this I’m exhausted and my blood pressure is running 98/68. Sometimes lower first thing in the morning. Does this get better as you adapt to the medication or should I call the doctor?

Sounds like your dose may be a bit high. A few of us have had low BP incidents with Diltiazem. I'm one of them. Glad to be off it now. Mention it to your practitioner and ask if the main goal of being on the Diltiazem is to control the HR or BP. Diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker as I expect you know but its also a vasodilator. That's what's making your BP drop. There are other meds for BP if that's the goal. And other meds to control.HR too.
