update:- saw my consultant for first time today and his advice was that as my PAF is very intermittent that I don’t need a daily dose. If I have an episode then I can take 2.5 as a pill in the pocket. I understand that if my episodes become more frequent then I will need a regular dose. So good news.

thank yo so much everyone for your thoughtful and informative replies it’s good to know that your here.

Hi Bumblebee,

Thats good news - the less drugs you consume the better - however just accept that AF is a hydra headed monster, all things to all people and it will always try and have its wicked way. Always, at least until you master its dark arts.😱😱😂

Good news! However, remember complacency does not exist in our lives so keep making beneficial lifestyle changes.

Same here, starting at 1.25mg, as needed up to 5mg. I’ve never needed more than the minimum. I was told by my cardiologist tt keep in mind it takes getting on for an hour to have its effect and lasts for around a day.
