Hi. Anyone got any info, please on whether THC oil and/or CBD oil might be helpful with AFib?

I have used CBD oil for sleep aid. I guess anything that relaxes one can help reduce anxiety with AF and ergo , less stress less AF.

Bob did you take ordinary CBD or some that had THC in it.What dose do you take?

I read that it interferes with heart meds otherwise I'd be interested in trying it

I used to use cbd oil when I was on warfarin because the INR lever was monitored and if it caused and changes my dose could be monitored. However, I have seen contra indications with anticoagulants - something to do with both chemicals using the same processing/detox pathways? And that this could lead to too much/too little of the anticoagulant in the body…. X This worried me about taking it while I am on rivaroxaban. So if anyone is taking cbd oil and on rivaroxaban I would love to know as it helped me so much with pain relief ….. I am considering requesting going back to warfarin so that I can take it!

Me too I'd want to know if it caused any interactions I've read warfarin And calcium channel blockers are affected

It is alleged that marijuana (THC is the active ingredient) CAN trigger heart arrhythmias. For that reason, I have not indulged-even though now legal in my state. I have read from others in this forum that there does not seem to be that issue with CBD.

Hi Pump,

It helped me sleep but made me hungry and raised my INR.

I found the CBD oil derived from cannabis more effective and costly than CBD oil from hemp. Make sure, if it is from cannabis, that it has very low THC. It can be expressed as a CBD/THC ratio. Like 20:1 which is low THC vs. 6:1 or 1:1 which is higher THC. It may also show it as mg of each per serving or bottle. THC can get you high and can cause delayed rapid heart rate.

Ahh... those were the days!

Doesn't hurt to ask your Doc. if it's compatible with your medications. Although they may just say no because they don't know.

The only two times I ever had anything with thc in it I slept for 3 days the first, and bp dropped dramatically the second, so won’t be going near the full blown stuff again 🤣🤣🤣 - was many, many years ago, - I was looking for more natural pain relief x
