Just had two texts telling me I have been in contact with somebody who has omicron. Go to some spurious website to order test kit. bla bla bla.
Interesting that we can't find a number it was sent from so can't block. These towrags are getting smarter than a cart load of monkeys. Come to think of it they may well be a cart load of monkeys. Happy Sunday all.

I've had loads of those in the last couple of months. B*stards! They won't catch me out, but they will catch enough to make it worth their while and that means people being scammed out of their money.
Track and Trace ended in February 2022 when the government removed the legs; requirement to self-isolate. So basically NO text or email about close contact etc will be legitimate. They are ALL scams now.
My husband had the same text yesterday. I heard him laughing when he read it. I thought someone had sent him a joke, not far off I guess but not a funny one. Receiver beware.
And another one. I've had an email supposedly from DHL telling me that they couldnt deliver because there wasnt anyone in and asking for me to confirm my address for delivery.
They aren't all scams. I've just won 30 million pounds on the Nigerian lottery - I didn't even have to buy a ticket. How good is that. All I've had to do is send £100 by Western Union to claim my £30 million. I expect it will drop in my bank account any day now.
Trouble was I read it very early in the morning when I was not properly awake.
I nearly fell for it as because of my Bradycardia I am not at all compos mentis for at least an hour.
Moral of the story is to not respond to any correspondence until later in the morning.
All that said I did have the genuine message yesterday from my Covid-19 APP saying I had been in contact with someone who had Covid-19 on Friday. This was not surprising as very few masks were worn on the plane I was on nor at the security check in at the airport except me.
I feel OK so far so keep all your fingers crossed for me.
Yup we had the same a few days ago and got the wind up because I was due a hospital appointment. Luckily the husband has a suspicious mind. Our text said - the old LF tests don't identify the 'latest' Omicron so you must click on the link to order a different test.
Just a word of advice. Don't click any links sent by these people - they can infect your computer. It's worth paying for a good 'firewall' (about £60 a year). Chrome users should be OK but watch the rest.Panda is good and it's cheap too. Worth downloading as it will warn you if the site is likely to put a virus in your computer. You can pay for 'add on's' but the cheap version does the trick. It's £15 a year but worth it for Window users.
