Hi, anybody underwent the new Pulse Field Ablation technology? If so, would appreciate your feedback about the experience.

A friend was part of a blind test where PFA was being tested. He felt quite good fairly quickly and was back to normal in a few weeks. The EP who was testing it, told me that he likes it a lot. It reduces risk, the surgical time is reduced and if one can wait for approval, which could be in 6-18 months, he would 'understand'.

Thank you, that was helpful, I’m considering joining a study.

However just to add, the problem with a blind study is that you don’t know which ablation you’re getting so you’re odds of getting the PFA is 50/50, that why I’m looking for a non blind study.

New technique developed in the last few years, studies still ongoing, early results very promising. Here are a couple of pretty "techy" references, which you've maybe already seen:

sciencedirect.com/science/a...

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/321...

journals.lww.com/co-cardiol...

Not what you're looking for?
