Initially bothered me.
Now at age 74 still run 20/25 miles a week
Made my legs sore
But have factor 5 which increases odds for blood clots, stroke
Thought about other similar meds but stayed wit Xarelto. Today no issues, 6 years later

Just to balance up the approach for anyone interested, I also have Factor V Leiden (mine is the less problematic hetero) diagnosed 20 years ago when I stupidly drove for 5 hours without a break in tense motorway conditions shortly after very sedentary month at work. Since then no ACs (and no more clots!) but do walk briskly twice a day for a mile and never stay sedentary without a break for more than an hour, except when asleep of course. Also take-in more liquids, Krill oil supplement and garlic daily.
For those wondering Factor V is a relatively common condition but mostly undiagnosed.
You are an inspiration to me xxx
Wow! You amaze me! Well done you. At 74 I struggle to walk to the kitchen. ! All the best
I believe this is a really rare condition with a much increased chance of blood clots. Given the rarity, there is likely to be little in the way of medical literature to provide advice and, I can't give advice either. However, avoiding AF and dehydration amongst other things would be a good idea. You don't refer to your running pace, heart rate, SpO2, fibrin levels etc that can affect your risk.
