When is this going to end?? I haven’t had a bad day like this since right after my ablation. It has been constant heart palpitations today. They make me so tired and light headed. I called my cardiologist and they said if the symptoms worsen to go to the ER, but I’m so sick of ER visits and truthfully, hospital bills. I don’t know what to do. They are debilitating. Someone please help.

Horrible Heart Palpitations
hey dogluvr95 , what are you feeling exactly? are you currently on any meds? has your ablation been successful?
Assuming it's some months since your procedure, I think it's unavoidable that you will have to contact your EP to discuss. According to the article below, if the palpitations return you may need a repeat procedure, which should be shorter than the original procedure. See section headed "What if I have palpitations after my procedure ":
uhb.nhs.uk/Downloads/pdf/Pi...
The article also states "it would be helpful but not essential to get an ECG whilst you are having palpitations and to bring it along to the consultation. In the meantime, the medication that you were taking before the procedure to control the SVT can be restarted while you are waiting for the consultation."
If you can afford it, a portable heart monitor like an Apple Watch or a Kardia would let you trace these on an ECG. You could then see how many palpitations you are getting and show the trace to the doctor at the ER for comment.
The Wellue DuoEK from Amazon is the cheapest when on offer and is excellent. It is unusual as it allows traces of up to thirty minutes (most limit to 30 seconds, with the Kardia 6L allowing up to 5 minutes); this gives you more chance to pick up the arrhythmia. I used the Wellue for a few days but changed to the Kardia only because it offered to identify the arrhythmia rather than just show it as "irregular" or "possible AF".
I have these ectopic beats regularly but not that often, thankfully, except on some days. While typing this, for example, I have had maybe six; you certainly have my sympathies. I cope with them until they set off tachycardia (95-130bpm) and occasionally AF, when life is hard work because it makes me feel breathless and worn out.

Hi dogluvr.
Sorry to hear about your predicament. Must be horrible to get this again after ablation. I’m absolutely dreading it happening to me.
How long ago did you have your ablation? Have you had just the one?
Hi! I had my ablation a year and some months ago. I had it done July of 2020 and yes I just had the one. It was successful in ridding me of my SVT thankfully, but now I deal with these ectopics which I never dealt with prior to my procedure.
I also get ectopics frequently since my ablation but I was expecting them to be honest. Especially in the first 3 months. I’m hoping they will go get less frequent and possibly even go all together over the coming weeks/months 🤞
How often do you get them? Are they ectopics or are you actually going into af?
Well I don’t have AF thankfully so they are definitely ectopics. Just so uncomfortable. They make me so tired too.
Oh right ok well that’s atleast some good news. I would definitely agree they’re not pleasant. I had a run of ectopics a few nights back for only a few seconds but it took my breath away and definitely puts your body on alert while it’s happening.
I’m assuming as you mention hospital bills that you are American?
