Sensible advice from people above. Please let us know how you get on.

Hopefully by now you will have followed the good advice already offered, if you haven’t, you are more than likely too scared about the possible outcome. Apart from reinforcing the need to get it urgently checked out, all I would say is that it does not necessarily mean that something nasty is going on. I am not medically trained, but I experienced something similar many years ago and it turned out to be a broken blood vessel. Anticoagulants are unlikely to cause bleeds, but they are very likely to cause a bleed to appear worse than it might otherwise be. I have also had broken blood vessels in my eyes which look horrendous but each time I have had them checked and they have not needed any treatment and within a few day, the eye has reverted to normal.

Please get it checked and let us know how you get on……..

If it is something bad, then the anticoags will have made it bleed earlier than it would have otherwise. This is good because it would be in an earlier phase and easier to fix. So it's best to take advantage of that and see someone pronto. But often it turns out to be a whole lot of nothing.
