Is it all over or in patches?
I had this many years ago and it was dermatitis hepetiformis....a relative of coeliac disease.Esp. if small blisters are present. Diagnosed via a blood test.It is quiter rare.My GP ignored it but I insisted on an emergency visit to dermatolgy as I was scratching myself to bits day and night.
Is your thinking that it’s AF or AF medication related. I cannot recall any similar posts so maybe it’s caused by diet etc. Has shingles been ruled out?

thanks but i have af i take apixaban
Try one teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar diluted in half a cup of water and then bathe the affected area. Let me know if it helps 🙂
Hi, It could be one of the medications you are taking. I had a terrible rash, mostly on the back, which started a few months after starting with AF and the itching was driving me to distraction, especially at night. This went on for several months. I suspected it might be the Rivaroxaban. I had this medication changed to Apixaban and within a few days started to see an improvement. I have been on Apixaban for about 6 months now and the itching is non existent. So you could try swapping to a different anticoagulant as Apixaban may be causing your itching just as Rivaroxaban was causing me problems. There is no guarantee of course that this is the issue and any replacement medication might even start some other side effects?? You have my sympathies, itching can be very stressful and it's difficult (as you know) sometimes to find the reason. Steve
