Hi Henry I'm afraid I've not heard of that drug on this forum before. Is it otherwise known as Propafanone (spelling)?

So I took propafenone 600mg and 1 x 5mg diazepam and fell asleep, I woke up 2 hours later back in sinus. When I done a Kardia reading it came up ‘ sinus rhythm with wide QRS ‘ is this ok?
Hi Henry, I was changed from Flecainade to propafenone because I had blurred vision for a couple of hours in the mornings, I’ve just gone back to flecainade because propafenone was giving me blurred vision on and off all day!!
On both drugs I was told to arrange ECGs at least every six months and this was to check that they were not giving me wide QRS so it may be worth getting it checked out. Can you email your ecg’s to your doctor?
Maybe it’s because you had had the extra amount.
I am most interested in your chemical cardioversion via Propafenone because I was in sinus rhythm after my third ablation taking 150mg x 2 Propafenone. When I tried to stop the drug completely, I went into arrhythmia. Going back on 150mg x 2 mg has not converted me plus having an electrical cardioversion kept me in sinus for eight days followed by Paroxysmal for 31 days and now I am back to persistent AF day 9.
So are you saying you took 600mg at one shot and nothing more for the whole day and was 1 x 5mg diazepam also required? Did you stay long in AF before your cardiologist told you to take the 600mg? Were you told to repeat it the following day if that did not work?
I think it is great that 600mg converted you, and greater still if your cardiologist got back to you right away to try that before the rogue signals got further established. I am going to have to run this through my local EP that takes more than his sweet time to get back to me when I go into AF and ask for help after three ablations. In over a week's time I am to have a consultation with him.
Thank you so much for relating your experience and do keep us posted as to how you are doing.
