Been prescribed digoxin but also take lansoperazole. Just read that these meds shouldn't be taken together. Any info would be great.

I think omeprazole increases the absorption of digoxin so your doctor may give you a reduced dose of digoxin.

Hello there, it is always best to consult with you your Pharmacist or GP regarding medication interactions. Kind regards, Tracy

Read all your present / future medication leaflets carefully when you’re on Digoxin, it reacts really badly with quite a few drugs.

This can result in increased serum digoxin levels, so to be safe a serum digoxin level should be drawn to determine if any adjustments in your dose should be made.

Talk to your pharmacist and GP about this. Whoever prescribed this should have been aware of your other medications and my pharmacist always goes through my medications when I am prescribed something new. Previously at my old address I did pick the Doc up on one prescribed medication that could react with something I was already taking. So, maybe they are not always aware or miss something when looking through medication lists.

Thankyou I will. Getting to speak to GP or pharmacist tricky in our area though.

It will be I know. Try calling your pharmacist first - though here with everyone calling for their repeat prescriptions its hard here too and they are only there half day on Saturday too.
