I have been prescribed Hydroxychloroquine for arthritis yesterday by my consultant, has anyone tried this medicine, he said they use it for malaria also

I am a bit worried about taking it has anyone had this , as he said about the side effects ,one was they have to keep a check on your eyes ,as it may cause blurred vision

Main possible dangerous effect if you have afib and are taking certain rythm control medication, HCQ will prolong the Q-T interval and make you at risk for potentially deadly Ventricular Tachycardia. Consult your Electrophysiologist before starting to be safe.

Thankyou for your reply, just reading some reviews, I think I will look for a alternative. It’s 50 50 mainly it is to do with eyes,
