Because been 4 months since last Afib attack but went into another at 5.30am 139 bpm. Annoyed because it’s a reasonable day outside and I was going to paint the outside of the house.....don’t feel like it now!

Oh bless you, what a pain this AF is!!! Is there a small part of the wall that's low that you could do and see how you get on? No going up ladders mind and certainly don't attempt if feeling unwell! I find that if I sit and concentrate on my heart rate it seems to keep me in AF. Or how about clipping back some small shrubs in the garden ready for the winter?
Let us know how the day progresses for you and I hope you soon return to sinus rhythm.
Wishing you well.
Jean
Bother! Know how that feels. Just got my call to go and have my ablation a week Tuesday and we had plans to get soil and stuff for garden but now have to isolate? Wonder could I just sneak out for a couple of hours today? Should have gone first thing when it was raining and would have missed the call so would be none the wiser until they called again? LOL.
Awe poor you, I can imagine it’s disappointing plus u feel on edge till it calms.try and not think about it, hmmmmm I know that’s hard when it’s thudding fast.....
Hope it doesn’t last too long.
Sue
Did anything trigger it?
Might have been some red wine ! I have learned that spirits are definitely out and mixing drinks. I can normally tolerate some red wine (and I am loath to give up the few pleasures I have left).
Why it should trigger then is a mystery, My Afib follows a certain pattern starts around 140 bpm then over the course of the day gradually reduces to around 80. Yesterday it was over in 17 hours, cleaning my teeth for bed triggered it back into sinus rhythm!
I am grateful my Afib appears not so severe as others , who have my absolute sympathy.
Maybe try and knock the red wine on the head for a while
