I thought it may have been AF....

Good news was, it wasn’t.

I was unwell last week and my heart felt a bit jittery, then I cracked a tooth on the weekend and had horrific pain. Last night (Sunday) my heart went crazy. It felt a lot like fast AF - up to 140bpm - for about 2 hours. I took a few Kardia readings which kept saying “possible atrial fibrillation” which I sent through to my EP today who said - no AF - it was sinus tachycardia with lots of ectopics. So, whilst I was uncomfortable last night, I was pleased to hear this news.

And as for the tooth, I got into my dentist today for an emergency appointment and needed a root canal and crown - not so good news.

OH bad luck Kaz. I always used to say I would rather have ablation than root canal dentistry. I do hope all goes well for that.

Thanks - the dentist started it yesterday- 4 huge needles which made my the whole side of my face numb and made my vision go funny so that was a worry but it eventually settled and came back to normal. Two more visits needed for the root canal then a couple for the crown. I’m glad this didn’t happen whilst on holiday - today I was supposed to be in Montenegro.

Our health insurance will cover most of it thankfully but I was a bit scared to ask how much in total it will be. It has to be done - I have never had pain as bad.

Sorry about the tooth...hope it's soon sorted out. We have no dentistry going on here at the moment apart from very limited dire emergencies,in special Hubs.

I have broken my front crown partly but not hurting.

Glad it wasn't AF !!

Best wishes Kaz.

Ouch ouch and ouch! My heart is beating faster hearing your story, never mind going through it! Glad to hear you are feeling better even though your pocket is hurting.

I bit a very hard ice lolly on a flight to Turkey and my teeth felt distinctly odd; I had split the original tooth root and the implanted crown and post was sticking on a practically a right angle from the others. I went to a Turkish dentist who removed the crown, showed me what had happened, and painstakingly built a tooth replacement bridging it to the adjoining tooth at the back. He told me not to eat with it, far less bite. It cost about £10. It lasted the holiday and when I got back to the UK and saw my dentist he was so impressed; it was still solid as a rock. The cost of the inplant was about four Turkish holidays...
