Thank you Mikee ... l’m not good at resting ... too hyper ... but thank you for a lovely suggestion ... maybe magnesium oil? I will try that instead!!
Do you have osteoarthritis in your knees? My doc recommended breaking up my walks and bike exercise. I try to do 30 min but he said go for 15 minute sessions as it is easy to stir up the inflammation but hard to knock it down. Riding my exercise bike seems to help me the most

No ... l do not have osteoarthritis in my knees ... l think that it is caused by doing a slightly different exercise than what l am accustomed to doing in the gym. It only hurts maybe halfway through our speed walks on occasion. It doesn’t hurt at all during the day ... up and down stairs, walking around a 4500 sq ft house ... l am trying magnesium oil ... it is great for pain. We will see. Thank you very much .
I had the same sort of thing (aches in my knees) when I tried to get fit for a half marathon that our pub team was trying. I was a simple regular 3 mile runner - and cyclist, of 60 years. Each time I went more than 5 miles my knees ached. I gave up after about 5 tries and wore a very light elastic knee support for about three days. It all got better. I have not tried longer distances again - I am older and possibly wiser ! Arnica also is very good for aches.
I have started exercising and get knee pain but didn't want to give up exercising so i went on youtube and found a very good pilates for sensitive knees video. It help to strengthen knees but also does a leg and stomach routine as well but without having to kneel on the floor which i can't do as it is painful but it seems you need to strengthen the muscles around your knee. Hope this helps.
Super! Thank you.
Thank you. Super helpful information.
You've pushed the boat out? Kneed rest.
Do use "RICE." Rest, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE) is good for knee pain caused by a minor injury or an arthritis flare. Give your knee some rest, apply ice to reduce swelling, wear a compressive bandage, and keep your knee elevated.
My bad knees run in the family, gran, dad & moi, therefore my knees don't run especially on hard surfaces.
Jogging left me on crutches for a while.
A walk in the park is my limit. 🤔
Make sure you have good shoes. I am a light runner - about 30 minutes every other day. I had to switch to just walking after my ablation for awhile and I found my knees or hips would start hurting if I walked in the same shoes I ran in. I found some shoes that were supposed to be good walking shoes and that seemed to fix it for me.
Great idea! I was wondering about that! Thank you!
