Yes Jane, I would consider selling mine as I'm now taking Alixaban. I'll PM you.

Jane, if you need to you can go onto the Coaguchek XS website or if not there onto Roche website and you can download a copy of the User Guide which covers the set up and operation of this device.

Depending on your entitlement you should be able to get both test strips and lancets on NHS. A word of caution though, this is not a guarantee and nor does it apply to each and every CCG uniformly throughout the UK.

Personally I have never had a problem when I lived in Surrey nor do I have a problem with my existing surgery here in Cornwall .........both of whom were/are brilliantly supportive.

I had thought about getting a machine about a year ago. Was told the surgery would not prescribe the strips. Now after being asked to go on one of the other medication, I said if I get a machine will you prescribe the stripes and they said yes. So ordered a machine from Roche (six week delivery).

Thanks Limda

How much did you pay if you dont mind my asking? Thankfully a very kind person on here is sending us one that is 5 years old and she doesnt use snymore. We will be paying appropriate price of course.

If they are putting lots of people on NOACS/DOACS (Isle of Wight have stopped all INR teating) then as mentioned in another post stock will surely run out, then there is the cost, I gather they are not cheap! Hubby is highly sensitive to lots of meds, so we feel it is better to stay on warfarin rather than the possibility of upsetting things and ending up in hospital as happened last year! Now he had come off ADs, BPs etc, he is mich better thankfully!

Keep safe and well.

Thanks John

I know exactly what you mean about CCGs not singing from the same page. Ive been battling with mine about getting T3 on NHS but getting nowhere at all. Just hope my private sources wont run out after this dreadful COVID-19 has run its course. Couldnt bear the thought of going back to levo. Fingers crossed surgery os more helpful with regard to hubby!

Thanks and kedp safe and well!
