Hi Angela, I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I can’t read your whole question? I have a loop recorder so happy to reply if I might be some help from my own experience :) x

I can’t think of any problem regarding the loop recorder - I have had various interventions with my loop recorder in which have all been fine. Some of them wipe the memory though (eg MRI and cardioversion.) I cant imagine you’ll need it here, but just in case, it might not do any harm to send a download off, if you can do it wirelessly?

I’ve had a lot of dental treatment including crowns fitted and mentioned to the dentist that I have the loop recorder fitted, but had no problems. The x rays they take should be only the jaw area. (They can cover your chest area too.) Do you have any specific concerns on your mind about it? Xx

ETA: Just a couple of other thoughts-

I don’t know what make your loop recorder is, but I googled ‘Medtronic loop recorder’ when I had questions, and found very helpful info.

Also, the clinic where I have downloads always answer my questions like that- so maybe if you’re lucky, even in the morning, someone may be able to answer your question in time for your dental appointment?

And finally- very good luck with the extraction :) Hope it all goes well

J xx

Thank you so much it was the dentist that questioned it I wasn’t to worried I have had such a busy few days with grandchildren and a disabled husband I forgot to ring the hospital today only saw the dentist on Friday so not had much time my loop recorder is a Medtronic as well .

I am having a molar out and a crown redone thank you again it’s put my mind at rest and wishing you a very good Christmas 🎄 X

Thank you! And you too! Hope you heal well from the extraction.

If you can easily send your data wirelessly before you go, then it might be worth doing, as that deals with the remote chance of the data being wiped. But I’m pretty sure I didn’t think of that before my dental treatment! (Though I haven’t had an extraction.)

Good luck :) x
