There is a 2" clip in the Daily Mail, dated 2/2/19, about a man in south China who has apparently had a toothpick lodged in his right atrium. He apparently swallowed it 4 years ago having put it into a drink so that he could identify it as his.
He apparently spent over £22,000 trying to identify the cause of his fevers and lung inflammation. He was treated for sepsis and leukaemia before doctors pinpointed the toothpick in his right atrium.
If nothing else, this indicates the proximity of the stomach to the heart!
