So eleven days since I stopped the Flecainide and the Rivaroxaban on the advice of my Cardiologist at the three month mark post ablation for the flutter and the subsequent Cardioversion two weeks later to sort out the fibrillation caused by the ablation. The skiing went well as per my earlier post but I do keep getting interim runs of ectopics. My mate (who is also my vet but seems to know more about humans than most doctors) says the heart will still be settling after the Ablation. Certainly the cold sweats have stopped but is he right about the ectopics? Anyone any ideas? And of course HAPPY NEW YEAR
Ectopic beats....: So eleven days since... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Ectopic beats....
As youi know three to six months reciovery adn many people are still pimprovin up to nne months. ECtopics are quite a problem but if you use the search box top right there is great breathing exercise which helps calm them a lot.
I am 11 months post ablation and still get some ectopics. If fact I got some on the 23rd December and then the 25th December, which were different to the ones I had previously since ablation; more frequent and more persistent. This got me quite "excited" for a few days and I thought afib was on the way back.
However they have disappeared again.
I had a bit of a sniffle at the time so maybe it was the effects of a bug? Who knows!
Best thing is to try to ignore it all and not stress. Easier said than done as I have just admitted, but necessary. I logged quite a big blood pressure rise as I was on my BP monitor which recognises arrhythmias and was using it for that purpose.
Checked the BP again yesterday and it is now actually lower than it was pre Christmas! PANIC OVER?!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
