No af for 7 months and last times episode was triggered by a viral infection. Started again a few days ago and putting off getting in touch with anyone as not due to see my cardiologist for a few month and know if it starts as regularly as before its ablate/pace straight away. Only that one episode in over a year until now so I guess im lucky. After 5 days I know its not stopping anytime soon x

So sorry to hear that. 5 days is significant, maybe you should call your doc and see about getting it stopped. The old saying af begets af always makes me uneasy. Hoping it stops soon!
After all you have been through it may be a relief to have a final decision made, but very sorry your run of good luck seems to have ended. You never know this could also be set off by an underlying condition, worth seeing your GP maybe? Best wishes.
Hi there, got a sense of deja vu when read this, 12 months ago had the same: nasty virus and trip to A & E with AF & palpitations. cardiologist didn't think this had triggered it but my doc agreed with me! Had been 18 months free before. Saw cardiologist a few weeks back and waiting for 2nd cardioversion. Good luck with treatment please let us know how you get on, Merry Christmas 😊 no such thing as coincidence, of course......
Sorry to hear this, you think after several months you’re good but then it rears its ugly head. Hope it’s over soon, dear.
