“Quivering” heart.

Woke up at 0330 again. This time the heart felt as if it were “quivering”or vibrating slightly. My first thought was that this was PAF. Kardia, registered normal however with 58bpm (it had been 54 just before I went to bed). I don’t know, however, what was happening during the preceding hours when I was asleep. Could this have been Afib or was I coming out of Afib? Heart “settled” about 20-30 mins later, but haven’t been able to get back to sleep.

I have similar symptoms most nights. My view is that it is linked to breathing patterns with the possibility that it is due to low oxygen intake. It does sometimes result in AF.

I saw my EP in November and he felt it was a good idea to refer me to a Respiration Consultant and I am waiting for my appointment.

Make sure you remember to tell your EP when you finally do get that appointment.
