Hi thanks for your feedback.

The 80’s is a normal hr. I was told that anything under 100 is normal.
I'm not sure what you are asking here Tommo. Yes, the Bisoprolol is given to lower your heart rate. I'm on the lowest dose of 1.25mg daily, and my resting heart rate is about 54 bpm. But, I believe that the Bisoprolol is given not to lower your normal rate, so much as to limit the high rates that you can get into during a bout of AF. My first event had really frightening high numbers, (280!) but since I've been on the Bisoprolol (and understanding what is happening), it's not gone over 180 bpm.
The Apixaban is an anti-coagulant to protect you from the increased danger of stroke associated with AF and it's co-morbidities (high blood pressure, stress etc.)
I was on 10 mg Bisoprolol but with my PH condition/tablets my Blood pressue dropped very low so they moved me down to 7.5mg now Blood pressure is a little better had a blip this week! I am usualy between 80 and 125 bpm now but was 150 bpm minimum before treatment. I have now moved from Warfarin To Axiban twice a day.
Hi Tommo
Been on 5mg Bisoprolol 8 years no problem also have a 2.5Mg tablet for slightly worse times...all in all managing ok
I understand that if you have Low Bp be careful with Bisoprolol
