Thanks Steve :-) that was more or less what my GP said when I told her having decided against an ablation my biggest fear was progression.

I feel increasingly reassured.

Thanks for posting. I find this reassuring. ie permanent AF doesn't seem to have such a detrimental impact on QOL as paroxysmal AF.

I have only ever had permanent AF and have no symptoms you can detect without a stethoscope. From years on this forum it seems to me the paroxysmal AFers get it much worse even though they have stretches of time in NSR.

Do you ever have weak spells and feel slightly breathless and anxious? I am in permanent Afib

Hi, what medication are you on? It may be an outcome of that rather than the AF itself. I was put on bets blickebets blickers initially and they really sap you're energy. But if not if go back to the go and tell them.
