Does everyone experience this? With my Afib I take metoprolol taurtrate. My heart rates goes from the 50’s to 80’s low 90’s in the same day. I take 75mg 2 x’s daily. Is it normal for heart rate to be up and down? I am 4 months post abliation. It seems to have gotten like this over the last three weeks. I was i hospital after passing out three weeks ago. My concern is that my last hospital stay undone the abliation??? Thanks

1)Raised heart rate post ablation is very common. typically around 80 to 90 and it can take up to nine months or more to settle down again. The drugs may actually be dragging it too low at times.

2) Heart rate varies throughout the day according to what you are doing/ were doing. This is quite normal. Don't get obsessed about it. Relax and try to live a normal life as you continue to recover from the procedure.

Thank you Bob. You are very calming. I will. Starting some meditation classes next week. See ep on 7/31. Was suppose to do two week monitor before seeing him but it has been delayed. Waiting to hear.back from his office staff . I really haven’t been that active so I was surprised for all the up and down readings. We are watching the British open.
