How long ago did you stop taking Amiodorone? Don't forget that it has a very long half life and can take months before you will be rid of it.
Are you in AF now? When I am in fast AF I find it very difficult to sleep
Are you on any other meds that could cause your issues?

Thanks . I've been off amiodorone for 2 months. I early March I had an incident of Afib in a very public place where I "collapsed". Since then I have a hard time falling asleep. Am on two beta blockers and a blood thinner. The doctor recommended xanax and it worked for a few nights. Now I'm back to square one.
This post on here a short while ago recommended a good way to get to sleep with a really cheap app.
Amiodarone did that to me, terrible insomnia and when I did manage to nod off, awful dreams. It's taken me 6 months since I stopped taking it to start sleeping better and I'm still not that good. It does get better but seems to take a while. I just gave up and read, got through lots of good books!
