I just got my holter report and I'm still having episodes. I don't have the effects like constant fatigue and dizziness like before, but I can't do anything strenuous. I can't go on walks or run. Right now I'm on holiday,s so I'm taking things easy. I'm scared of returning to work and having episodes again. That happened last month and I had to take a month off without pay. My cardiologist is referring me to another EP because the last EP tried to ablate but said he couldn't because he couldn't bring on svt. He seemed nonchalant and just wanted me to be okay with the fact that my symptoms are masked or minimized by the high dose of Flecainide. Now I'm worried. Do I go through with an ablation or just live with it and medications. I am a divorced mother of three. I want to be here for my kids. I have to work and earn a living. My last EP made me feel like I wasn't feeling what I was feeling. Twice the holter has recorded episodes. I'm frustrated.

Sorry you are having this problem to deal with. Definitely see another EP. Have a look on this site as there are good EPs listed. I changed mine and it was the best thing I ever did in this respect. I too am an svt sufferer.
You and your new EP can then make the best treatment decision for you. It's crucial that you have confidence in your medical team. Best wishes.
Yes, talk to others, don't rush and try and work on other lifestyle changes mentioned on this Forum. 2x100mgs Flecainide is a medium dose not a high one, so don't worry there. I have been taking that for 4+ years without a problem and it buys you time to talk to other medics and do the longer term stuff. Good Luck.
