The other day we spoke about anxiety and emotions Which turned into a good topic to discuss.I was now wondering has anyone enrolled with silver cloud for online therapy or is it just something that is available to me locally

Hi Vonnie - there are many online self help type therapies - many are very useful.

As a retired psychotherapist I gave a talk at our local AF support group on Anxiety and this is a link to the notes below.

Personally I find a daily practice of Mindfulness has been the most helpful and I use an App called Calm - not free - but I like it because it is so varied with meditations for many subjects as well as a beginers 7 day course.

I don’t think therapy per see is helpful but sometimes, if you are a worrier, learning CBT techniques will help.

Future learn (free on line with support) have Mindfulness courses which loop ie they run 3-4 times a year and I also really like those.

This is the post from Jan 2018 - notes from the talk I gave:-

Hope that helps.

I use it to relax before I go to sleep. It has short descriptive stories and relaxing sounds. Another thing I find helps me sleep is the audible app. I've discovered that bedtime stories are a great way of clearing my mind of worries.

Hi Vonnie

Yes, I've opted for 7 free days initially.

Just got back from my granddaughter's first birthday party so am going to use it now to unwind ... can't wait to use it tonight too :-)

I think the 7 free days is followed by a fee of about £40 ... I'm assuming (and hope!) that's for a year, if so that seems good value :-)

There is SO many sections for everything you can think of - from sleep to social anxiety - to how to focus - to walking meditations. It’s excellent value and much cheaper than seeing a therapist - which is rarely free. There is also a FB page support group.
