Blood Pressure

Recently a Dr. Gupta video was posted on blood pressure. The two videos below give a bit more background. Note they were recorded at different times so the information is a bit different in each. In the first one, Dr. Bergman mentions why laying on our left side affects artery blood flow. Many people on this site have mentioned when they lay on their left side, the heart is affected. Maybe this blood flow change impacts the heart.

I would suggest that if anybody is looking for medical information go to a good medical consultant, or better still look at published research. These will give evidence based and (usually) unbiased information. These videos do neither.

I asked my daughter, who is a veterinarian, if she takes the blood pressure for a dog or other animals. She said she does not except when operating on them. Seems odd that humans are so focused on taking their blood pressure. One more pill to push perhaps!
