I have been on flecainide for quite a few months now and I still have regular afs. I can sometimes go for over a week without any obvious episodes and then have several. I have yet to see the cardiologist next week and will discuss it with him. The only good thing is that the episodes do not make me pass out or sweat. I can just feel unwell and sometimes very tired.

Hello oldmeds - I have been taking. 2 x 100mg Flecainide for nearly four years and, although I have bouts of ectopics which drive short bursts of tachycardia, I’ve had no AF at all in that time.

Before Flecainide, my AF episodes were debilitating and occurred roughly 6 or 7 times a month but with almost daily forms of other arrhythmias always with a very fast heart rate.

Have been on Flecanaide for 9 years no issues - only breakthrough of AF is chest infection or watching football - get about 3 bouts a year lasting 1 hour ..
