Following the recent post about this, I can confirm that neither AF Association nor HUL have authorised any such survey so please do not respond to anything you may receive.

Thank you Bob.
If anyone has received a message from anybody asking you to complete any surveys, please let me know either on here or by private message. Ideally I need to know who the messages were from.
If you prefer, you can email me r.harris@heartrhythmalliance.org
Thank you
I have sent you a message via your email address with screen shot images of the emails.
Pete
Hi rachel filled out one yesterday questions like wat did u do wen first had symptoms who did you go to thought it was from healthunlocked
I can forward the email I was sent about this to your r.harris email address.
Hello Bob
I too received these emails and responded as I thought they were genuine and the survey itself seemed legitimate.
If this is spam I am very worried and would like to know how they got hold of our email addresses.
One said it was from Rachel.
Pete
I have posted a poll on here Pete, asking how you were diagnosed. I have not sent any surveys out. If/When we do, they will always only be shared onto the forum and never through email or private messaging. However, perhaps you have your settings to notify you by email each time a poll is posted on the forum?
Best wishes
Rachel - AF Association Patient Services
That's a bit worrying as the person must have AFA details to send this. I shan't be responding to any from HU in future . Doesn't sound like a secure site.
Hello, I have spoken to other admin members, who think it might be legitimate as members of their forum have also received similar emails. However, I have contacted the support team at Health Unlocked to ask. I will of course let you all know of the outcome.
Regards
Rachel - AF Association Patient Services
I have received a reply from the support team at Health Unlocked:
"I can confirm the email is legitimate, it is a survey run by HealthUnlocked to collect some insight on what’s important to people who are affected by Atrial Fibrillation.
The users will have been contacted because they have the condition Atrial Fibrillation in their profiles as part of their health interests.
We hope the email did not cause any distress, but if the users have any further concerns, please let us know so that they can be addressed."
So to confirm, this survey email is legitimate. No security or data has been breached.
I hope this puts your minds at ease.
Kind regards
Rachel - AF Association Patient Services

Thanks for writing this reply.
As the emails caused confusion and concern for many may I suggest you post this information as some may not find it at the end of this thread.
In future it would be better to make such communications clearer and maybe not sent as emails but posted on the forum instead.
Pete
All the same I shall steer clear of any further communications from HUL legitimate or not. I thought it looked legit but as others didn't obviously I'm not a good judge !
Me too, who is Chris from health Unlocked, got one from him.
I will not respond next time unless pre warned on here.
I also got email and thought it was genuine so filled it in.
I too got message and filled it in.
Me too and I also filled it in
I answered a survey, then deleted it.
