I had radiotherapy on my shoulder 25 years ago to treat cancer in my left arm. It caused serious damage and is probably the cause of fibrosis in my left atrium.
Last year there was some information released about breast cancer patients having radiotherapy. They were advised to hold their breath during the radiation to prevent damage to their hearts.
This appeared a couple or days ago here and apparently it is only available for patients with life threatening VF at present. Maybe at some point in the future it may be developed more but don't hold your breath. .
