About 6 years ago, during a visit to my GP for an unrelated problem, I was informed that I had AF my symptons being skipped beats but no other problems, my BPM is in the range of 65 - 80 and is constant and I am on Bisoprolol 1.25mg I have never been told what type of AF I have or had a referral to an EP - Advice please!

What type of AF ?
How are you feeling, does your AF tire you and do you know if you still have AF? When was your heart rate last checked. A BPM range of 65 - 80 as you probably know is totally normal.
Are you saying that you've not had any heart tests for 6 years?

Hi thanks for your reply, I do feel a little tired from time to time but nothing major, I do have a heart check every year but not specific to AF, I do feel lucky when I read about the problems that other people suffer from but would like to know what type of AF I have and whether seeing an EP would be a good idea.
Hi , glad I seen your post because I was taken into ANE a few weeks ago breathless but was in sinus rhythm . The said it was the medication ( bisoprolol 10mg) but I then got told there was different types of af ! I have a fast one , but some people have a normal pulse and have it . Has your doctor done an ecg that confirmed you have AF ? Or a 24/48 hour tape done ? You definitely need more testing to confirm what type it is .
Best wishes
