Yes I have had one by my bed for the last 7 years and to date has not caused any problems. Still have annual checks.
Yes, I was given one in May this year. It is not the Bluetooth sort that reports on its own it's a Merlin and you do have to use the wand! I have sent my first report in and I did phone them just to check it had worked for the first time, and it had. They will send out a letter to prompt me when they want another reading. Clever stuff and saves an 2 hour drive. Good luck with yours.
