It has been a while since I have been on here. Had an ablation after being diagnosed with afib last July. Have had minimal episodes during first 3 months and only episodes of "skipped of beats" lately. However I have noticed quivers at night or at rest. They go away when I take a deep breath. It feels like my cellphone is on vibrate and I am lying on it.
The irregular beats during the day are hard kicking beats. 3 beats-skip-6 beats-skip-1 beat-skip then it will go a minute without skipping.
I am so afraid of it coming back. I am on metoprolol 50 mg in am and eliquis 5 mg 2xday. I am 70 and no other real problems.

This sounds like ectopic beats which as we know are a normal heart function and not dangerous but irritating to we who notice them. Thre is a great deep breathing exercise you can do which helps. Look up ectopics in eh search box and you will find reference but basically slow your breathing to six or less per minute using your diaphragm and do this for five to ten minutes.
As Bob mentioned, it sounds like ectopic beats. Do you have an AliveCor Device to record your EKG? That can be reassuring and you can email a copy to your EP. Some people have relief from ectopics from taking Magnesium taurate supplements or CoQ 10. Check with your doctor first before starting anything new. And always, any increase in rhythm changes calls for a recheck of your lifestyle. Are you getting regular exercise, adequate sleep, plenty of fruits and vegetables, staying well hydrated? Meditation or other stress management techniques in place? Heart rhythms often reflect life rhythms
