AF advice
If you feel you're stable then a cardiologist probably isn't going to change anything. Perhaps it's something to discuss with your gp.
Hello Sylvie, I see you have only just joined the forum, so welcome. Goldfish is right to suggest that you discuss these issues with your GP. We are not medically trained and the questions you ask really require expert advice from someone who understands your overall health situation. Given what you have said about your condition, I think you should ask your GP if you should see a specialist because it might be appropriate for your medication to be professionally reviewed. For AF, Digoxin tends to be used by patients who may not be particularly active such as nursing home residents. Higher doses of Bisoprolol are not normally prescribed to patients with asthma, but I'm not sure about COPD, although I believe there is a connection there. If you are experiencing changes in your symptoms, or general wellbeing that you feel may not just be age related, then a referral should be considered.
Others here may have other suggestions and ideas that will help you, but I think you should have that discussion with your GP and because their knowledge of AF can sometimes be limited, you have the right to ask for professional advice, if that what you feel would help too. Good luck, and please let us know how things develop.....John
