Does anyone knoe anything about arythmol? I am t ver happy happy on amiodorone because 8f sll the side effects i would be so greatful for your opinion. Thank you so much.

Yes I was on it for 2 - 3 years, 12 years ago. I had 24/7 bad AF and the Arythmol (Propafenone) stopped it completely. Only side effect I had was it affected my memory, but that may have just been me ?

Arythmol is propafanone hydrochroride which I took for many years. It works in the same way as flecainide . Other than a metallic taste at high doses I had no side effects.

I was on it for several years and it worked really well. The only downside was you had to be careful to take it with food and it upset my digestive system a bit but I had problems before I took it.

Is the consensus that you take a beta blocker with propafenone as you do with flecainde? My pulse is hovering round 50 with just 1.25mg of bisoprolol and flec 50mg twice a day

I've never been given both, always just one or the other and only rhythm control has worked in my case. That's even though my heart rate is a bit fast as standard.

I had propafenone alone until I had an attack of tachycardia and then Diltiazem was added. I can't take beta blockers because I have asthma.

Thank you. I had flecainide alone for 5 years until the same.

I was on rhythmol for about 4 years. Worked pretty well with no side effects until recently. Doc took me off rhythmol and put on flecainide and I've been miserable, lots of side effects. Give Rhythmol a chance, amiodarone is poison.
