Oh why do these journalists still talk about "blood thinners"?! Anticoagulants do not thin blood they merely reduce the risk of clots. I'm sure this is why so many people are frightened of them. Richard Schilling is a great bloke and always at the coal face of course.

An interesting article which makes some interesting points. BUT cryo ablation would not have worked on me because 2 of my pulmanory veins are conjoined and that means a large entry hole in to the heart instead of 2 small ones. The cryo balloon would have been too small. Quite why a scan did not pick up on this abnormality had never been explained.

That's interesting, jennydog. I was told after my second ablation that I had only three pulmonary veins, but I assumed they had joined further back and the entry to the heart was relatively normal.

An interesting article and well worth reading.
