clinicalcorrelations.org/. this is a link to a site I came across re: antidote being worked on. Type antidote to Apixaban in the search box. Hope they get this available ASAP as I start on my Apixaban tomorrow and am feeling scared

Antidote for noacs
I used to worry about NOACs but now feel much happier after they have been in use for a while. Do remember that their half life is very low so the effect passes quite quickly. The chance of a bleed is relatively low unless you play with sharp toys so I really feel that your worry is misplaced. Yes it would be nice to have a neat and tidy anti dote but there are ways of dealing with it anyway in the event of a serious accident. Relax and be glad your stroke risk is being drastically reduced.
As I understand there are at least two antidotes under development, one of which is supposed to work for all NOACs, (I even tried to invest in that one as I could see them making a fortune out of it) but it's already on trials so I have no doubt we shall see some news of these in the next 18 months. But of course as Bob says, there are already methods of dealing with these short half life drugs
Be well

Not all but lots of clinicians I have spoken to say they would take Apixaban if they had AF !
Thanks guys. Just need reassurance at the moment. Feel better now that I've actually taken the first dose!
I love this site. Everyone is so helpful and supportive even though you have your own problems to deal with. Hope you are all well
