Hi Victoria and welcome. The main side affect of Ablation is you don;'t have AF any more but I had three before they sorted me out fully.. Yes there are risks but they usually overstate them so that your relatives can't sue them if it goes wrong. LOL I have yet to meet anybody who has had a problem or who says they wished that they hadn't gone that route.. If you go to POSTs and look on the side there is an FAQ about ablation which will answer a lot of your questions but come back again when you have a specific worry that it doesn't answer.
